FUNCTION OF THE JOB:
This job involves assisting college staff with a variety of technical hardware and software problems, as directed by the Information Services department. The student is preferred to have knowledge in the use of computers and software. Individuals having completed computer courses will be given extra consideration.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
~Install and provide maintenance for PC computers, printers and related equipment college-wide.
~Install and keep current the software for printers and related equipment college-wide.
~Assist College staff with technical hardware and software problems.
~Troubleshoot, resolve, and document hardware and software issues in a timely fashion utilizing ticket based software to follow process, resolution, and create a knowledge base.
~Other duties as reasonably assigned by Information Services Department staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
~Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
~Must display professionalism and confidentiality in all matters
~Must be able to communicate by telephone on a daily basis.
~Must be dependable, accurate, self-motivated, initiative, organized and be able to prioritize workload
~Must be able to use computers.
~Must be able to operate basic office equipment.
~Must be able to provide and understand verbal/visual orders from supervisors.

PERSONAL INTERACTION:
Daily contact with College personnel, faculty, students, and the general public in the routine performance of duties and departmental services.

REQUIREMENTS:
Federal Work-Study provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student’s course of study. Students participating in the Federal Work Study Program are paid minimum wage and can work up to 20 hours per week. The student is not guaranteed a set number of hours per week. In order to qualify for the Federal Work Study Program the student must:
~ be enrolled half-time (or greater) at the College (half-time is 6cr for fall/spring and 3cr for summer),
~ be enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program,
~ be in good academic standing; and
~ must have eligibility (financial need) as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Hiring Range $8.25/hr
